Send Recorded Audio files via EmailYou can send audio files to us to be transcribed by sending them as email attachments. - .wav files* (from traditional dictation analog equipment)
- .mp3 files
- .dss files (from Olympus digital equipment)
- .pdf files (Adobe Acrobat)
- .ra or .rm files (Real Audio)
- .boo files (Boomerang)
- .dvf or .msv (Sony)
- .wma files (Windows Media file with audio only)
- .zip files (containing any combination of .wav, .mp3, .dss, .ra, .rm, .boo)
This allows you to send directly to us via email attachment, without tying up your telephone lines and without having to go on-line to upload them at our website. To send us audio files in this manner, you MUST follow the procedure below exactly, with no variations: - The email delivering the file to us must be addressed to submit@speak-write.com
- The "Subject" line of the email must contain your ten digit account number, with no spaces, dashes, punctuation OR ANYTHING ELSE. The inclusion of anything else in this field will prevent the success of the submission.
- The audio file to be transcribed should then be included as an attachment** to the email.
Please attach only one audio files per email - (You may send multiple audio files if they are all included in one .zip file). - Once these items are in place, you need only click "Send", and the audio file will be entered into our system and the transcription process will begin immediately.
Coverting WAV files to "Telephone Quality"- Complete your dictation and save it as a file on your computer
- Click "Start", "Programs", "Accessories", "Entertainment", "Sound Recorder"
- Click "File", "Open" and locate on your computer the dictated file
- Click "File", "Properties" then "Convert Now"
- Select "Telephone Quality" from the "Name" drop-down menu
- Click "Ok" then "Ok" again
- Click "File", "Save"
- Close Sound Recorder
