To calculate your cost savings per office or for your entire firm, enter the applicable information on your firm size and your current and desired ratio of Administrative Assistants (AA) per attorney in the blue boxes. Your annual savings from converting your word processing responsibilities to SpeakWrite, while maintaining the desired ratio of AA to attorney, will be displayed in orange.
* This average 'pages typed per day' is difficult to estimate, but it should be considered that this is a year-round average. It should include and consider days when workload is slow, dictating attorney is in court or deposition, traveling, on vacation, etc. It is very difficult to keep such staff 100% busy every day of the year.
** These calculations are based on an assumption that your AAs are engaged full time in word processing duties and nothing more, but if that is not the case, provide a number here that approximates the full time equivalent (FTE) number of word processing employees, e.g., if you have 6 AAs but they currently only spend one-half of their time typing documents, enter 3 as the appropriate FTE of AAs for these calculations.
